Check out The Village Monday on BBC1.
The Village is an epic drama series for BBC One starring Maxine Peake and John Simm, charting the life and turbulent times of one English village across the whole of the 20th century. The Village is written by Bafta-winning writer Peter Moffat.
We have created a 30 second sequence which acts as a portrait of the village over a 24 hour period. Using time lapse, speeded up footage, compositing, grading and special effects we pull the village through the elements from sunrise to nightfall, showing the passing of time which is integral to the series.

Coventry are now the proud owners of a brand spanking new aspirational showreel. We managed to get the brilliant Pint Shot Riots, a local Coventry band with national success, to supply us with one of their tunes for the soundtrack. It goes live soon so keep an eye on our website to view.

Mayday
5 episodes shown in one week starting Sunday March 3rd BBC 1.
BBC One has confirmed that it will screen its new Spring drama Mayday across the course of a single week. The five-part series, which stars Sophie Okonedo and Game Of Thrones star Aiden Gillen, follows the story of a close-knit community as they attempt to trace the whereabouts of a missing teenager.
We play with light and grade to to create an otherworldly feel, communicating the pagan themes that run throughout the series. The textures applied to the type highlights the tension of emergency.

The story follows three families that each lived in Lightfields farmhouse at different time periods (1944, 1975 and 2012) but who are linked by a spine-chilling presence: the ghost of a teenage girl who died in mysterious and tragic circumstances. Here we aim to reposition the programme from a spooky tale to an epic one, with our creation of an abstract timeline.

The series stars Gillian Anderson as Stella Gibson, a senior police officer investigating a string of murders in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Mayday is a sophisticated five-part thriller from writers Ben Court and Caroline Ip (Whitechapel). When a young girl goes missing on her way to the Mayday parade, the small community in which she lives looks to one another for answers.
But beneath the picture-postcard idyll lies a sinister other world and the dark woods teem with myth.

We are currently creating the brand identity for Line Of Duty, a new police drama for ITV2. Peter is midway handcrafting a bespoke font, the subtle altering of clean lines reflects the content of the story which centres around corruption.

We've just branded a new drama series The Jury for ITV1. We've created an elegant classic font which sets the tone for this high quality character-based series. The Jury focuses on the everyday people who find themselves at the centre of one of the most controversial criminal re-trials of their time.

We've just bagged the titles for another new comedy, a hilarious new one off Detective Spoof for Sky One, Touch Of Cloth. This comedy drama has been co written by Charlie Brooker and stars John Hannah and Suranne Jones. This is real laugh out loud stuff, so is going to be a joy to work on over December and will showcase a sillier side to our studio.

Near completing the title sequence for Tiger Aspect's new Drama series, Prisoners Wives, which is due to air next year. We're working on a thought provoking and character driven sequence, focusing on the stories of four women and their how their lives are affected when a loved one is sentenced to prison.

After creating a visual identity for Rhyl we now have the pleasure of moving this language into motion as we have been asked to create their showreel. Rhyl has quite a surprising history with film, they beat Leicester Square to premiere Me Myself and Irene and the first ever welsh film maker, made Rhyl his subject. We loved going back and seeing our story benches dotted around the place..

Our title work and branding can be seen in new up and coming eight part drama series Death In Paradise. Death In Paradise is a fish out of water story about a quintessential English cop posted to the Caribbean island of Sainte Marie. To anyone else it would be paradise, but for Detective Inspector Richard Poole (Ben Miller) it's hell!

Peter is currently preparing to take part in 26 Treasures showing at the Ulster Museum 14th – 29th October as part of the Belfast Festival at Queens and Irish Design week. 26 Treasures first took place at the V & A and following its success the project has now been extended nationally.
26 writers have been paired with 26 visual artists to provide a visual and verbal response to an assigned well-known museum artifact. The PAS studio is working in total silence today, Peter being “ in the zone” … this consists of him wandering around muttering to himself and from time to time scrawling illegibly in his notebook…

Catch The Shadow Line due to air 5th May on BBC2. We have created contemporary Title Noir for Hugo Blick's conspiracy drama, this not only sets the tone for the programme but is, as far as we aware, the first time it has ever been done. Our sequences reveal the journey of the bullet from the view of the laser sights right through to the very last moment of the final episode. Look closely, our typography has been created using the textures of the main character’s jacket and will slowly reveals itself episode by episode.

It is very exciting to see the Rochdale brand come to life and work so well, influencing the public realm in a positive way. Working with the fantastic Rochdale brand implementation team and thinkingplace we are proud to see examples ranging from the transformation of the railway station, leisure centre, bridges, hoardings, 6th form college and library to the design of the new Rochdale masterplan. From signage systems to public art, we are really happy with the public response to the brand implementation and to see it being used so extensively and in such a forward-thinking way.
