AMADEUS
TITLE SEQUENCE
For Amadeus, we explored the material reality behind the music. Historically, violin strings were made from sheep gut, and the sequence traces that transformation, from slaughter through to stretching, drying and finally stringing the instrument.
Rather than depicting the process literally, we reinterpreted it through hand-drawn animation and watercolour textures. This softened the rawness of the subject while preserving the physicality and craftsmanship behind the instrument, creating a sequence that reflects both the beauty and the sacrifice woven into its sound.
